Jill McCorkle Papers, 1970s-2003

Jill McCorkle is an author of novels and short stories. A native of Lumberton, N.C., she studied creative writing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Hollins College. Her first two novels, and , were published simultaneously by Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill in 1984. Other published works of fiction include her novels (1987), (1990), and (1996) and several collections of short stories, including (1991), (1998), (2001), and (2009).
